262 CSI September 15

I wanted to use a white background but had none left so this background paper was my next option and I really love newspaper print!
Spray a few mists here and there to soften the black and white look!
Then I thought about the 'THANK YOU' prompt??????
Grabbed my stamp and scattered  thank you around the page!!!
It was time to document how thankful I am to have such a precious daughter!

I keep lots of haberdashery offcuts stashed in storage containers.
It provides great  texture and interest to the page.
Final touches are always sewing it all in place!
Thanks for looking!

I free hand cut a scalloped border from a scrap and then used this as a template to make others.

Here is some of my stash. Ihave been making these recently and will be showing how to make them soon!

257 CSI CHALLENGE

Beautiful  colours to be inspired by!
I used the floral picture in the prompt to inspire the page and used
the Cocoa Vanilla patterned paper to achieve this.

255 CSI CHALLENGE

The donut juggling inspired me to use lots of circles!
Got out of my stash a variety of stencils and had a play using paint mixed with texture paste.  Also I spray mists on to baby wipes and dab on colour through the stencils
Found the chipboard circle to add the journaling, this recent photo of my parents fitted the food prompt too!

254 CSI CHALLENGE

I wasn't  sure how to tackle this challenge  but when Ifound this paper in my stash, the book page print  and the floral patterned paper I just was inspired !
Cutting strips of the floral patterned paper and creating stripes then staggering them down the page!

Stamping,  painting,  fussy cutting!
I love to sew as it keeps it secure and it adds texture !

Scrapourstash February Blend sketch challenge

Using the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla range More than Words.
Blending  the 2 sketches is certainly a challenge,
can you see how I did it ?
I chose the 2 patterned papers than I planned to  add the strips of paper under the photo (as in the sketch) but as i was playing with the strips I came up with putting them down the page creating a horizontal direction !
I love the result for this special photo!
